Too bad he is inbred. He most likely has many health problems and in some cases no sense of ‘survival’, but hey! he is pretty right?

This white lion here is one of the children of a lion that was given to the park as a cub. She’s a regular tan color, but she has the recessive gene for the white coloring, 50%. So she’s had white and tan cubs.

First of all, it’s a dude lion (hence the mane). Secondly, he is a ‘white lion’ and most of these come about by humans using selective breeding to get this specific coloration.

The white lion “here”, meaning in the picture, is one of the “children” of a lion that was given to the park as a cub. Please re-read what I said.

Ahhh, im sorry i misunderstood. But you are still not proving that he is not, in fact, inbred. Of course his mom would have that gene, how else would the coloration come about? To get the cubs to have the white color they usually inbreed with the sisters/brothers of such moms… so that they will have a higher chance of achieving the mutation. In turn, the felines end up having health problems and are slower mentally.

I don’t have any proof that they aren’t inbred, I just doubt it. This specific park where these pictures were taken are home to a white lion breeding program. There are four white lions here. As data is listed, there are several lions aside from the rare ones. If you drew a Punnett square to figure those gene combinations, it’s very possible another lion has at least 25% of the mutation gene. Aside from that, I’m sure there would be other physical features to show proof of inbreeding, like many other animals. He looks pretty normal to me.

I’m just saying though, since this park has a white lion breeding program, I’m very certain the physical and mental defects that happen with inbreeding would be very prominent.
